Description
Kola Nut Powder
Botanical Name: Cola nitida
Other Names: Guru Nut.
Organic Status: Conventional
Country of Origin: Ivory Coast/Nigeria
Part: Fruit
Form: Powder
The kola nut is the fruit of the kola tree (usually either Cola acuminata and Cola nitida), indigenous to West Africa. Traditionally used by tribesmen on hunting trips, this herb naturally contains caffeine, as well as theobromine, which is also found in chocolate. It is popular as a food flavouring agent, and is a traditional ingredient in Cola based soft drinks.
Due to the natural caffeine content, we recommend you do not consume more than 1/4 to 1/2 a teaspoon of the powder per day, and avoid before bed.
