Butcher’s Broom

Botanical Name: Ruscus aculeatus
Organic Status: Wildcrafted
Country of Origin: Turkey
Form: Root

Butcher’s Broom is a small shrub native to Western Europe that is notable for its strong roots and tough branches. The roots have been used since ancient times as a herbal medicine, particularly in Western Herbal Medicine practices.
The rhizome, which is part of the root structure, is the part of the herb that is used, and it is chopped and ready to brew as a loose leaf tea.

Tea Instructions: Can be brewed like a loose leaf tea. Boil water (90°C to 100°C degrees) and add between 1 teaspoon and 1 tablespoon of herbal blend per cup of water. Pour boiled water over the tea and allow to steep for at least 5 minutes before straining and serving.  Honey or vegan sweeteners can be used

Herbal teas can often be rebrewed between sittings.
The above instructions are general guidelines only, and brew strengths and times can be adjusted to suit personal taste.
