Montreal steak seasoning is a very popular spice blend originating out of Montreal.

The recipe originally comes from one Morris Sherman, who was a broilerman who worked at Schwartz’s, a famous delicatessen and restaurant way back in the 1940’s and 50’s.

When Sherman began using it as a meat rub the demand was so great that other delis and restaurants began to copy it.

It is also known as known as Canadian Steak Seasoning.

Physical Structure: Light fluffy free flowing product, colourful with peppery and garlic flavour.
