Even though this common herb has a pesky reputation for avid gardeners as a weed, Dandelions have been used as a nutritious food and healing herb for more than 1000 years. Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners and Indian Ayurvedic healers used Dandelion to treat a wide range of ailments. Dandelion leaves are rich in vitamins and antioxidants. Whilst it has an earthy taste when brewed, it can be mixed with other floral herbs or natural sweeteners like honey.
Loose Leaf Tea Instructions: Can be brewed like a loose leaf tea. Boil water (90°C to 100°C degrees) and add between 1 teaspoon and 1 tablespoon of herbal blend per cup of water. Pour boiled water over the tea and allow to steep for at least 5 minutes before straining and serving. Honey or vegan sweeteners can be used
Herbal teas can often be rebrewed between sittings.
