This extract is made from the berries of the Hippophae rhamnoides, or Sea Buckthorn plant, which are small flowering shrubs that are native to parts of Asia and Europe. The fruit, and products made from the fruit like this powder, have been used in consumer products, livestock feed including for poultry, and in Traditional Medicine systems. It has been used traditionally to create a juice or tea, cosmetic products, syrups, and herbal remedies.
Herbal Tea Brewing
Instructions: Can be brewed like a loose leaf tea. Boil water (90°C to 100°C) and add between 1 teaspoon and 1 tablespoon of herbal blend per cup of water. Pour boiled water over the tea and allow to steep for at least 5 minutes before straining and serving. Honey or vegan sweeteners can be used to sweeten and enhance the flavour.
