Brewing Instructions for Rooibos Tea:

  1. Boil Water: Start by boiling fresh, cold water. The ideal temperature for Rooibos tea is 100°C (212°F).
  2. Measure Tea: Use 1 teaspoon of loose-leaf Rooibos tea per 250ml (8oz) cup. Adjust the amount according to your taste preference.
  3. Steep: Pour the hot water over the tea and let it steep for 5-7 minutes. Rooibos can be steeped longer for a stronger flavour without becoming bitter.
  4. Strain and Enjoy: Strain the tea into your cup. You can enjoy it as is, or add milk, honey, or lemon to enhance the flavour.

 

Recipe Idea: Iced Vanilla Rooibos Tea

Ingredients:

  • 4 teaspoons of Rooibos tea
  • 4 cups of boiling water
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tablespoons of honey or sweetener of choice (optional)
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint or lemon slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions:
