You can consume this powder by dissolving it into hot water, or it is also a popular traditional face and hair mask ingredient!

Herbal Powder Brewing

Instructions: Add 1 teaspoon of herbal powder to a cup or bowl, and combine with a small amount of boiled water at around 90°C to 100°C. Stir to combine, and top up your cup or bowl with more hot water, stirring as you do this. Add enough hot water to suit your preferred strength of tea. Serve and enjoy. You can also add herbal powders to soups, stews, smoothies and juices, or combine with other herbs!

Mask Suggestions

Rose Water Face Mask: make a paste of the powder using Rose water, and any other desired herbal powder ingredients, apply to clean skin, and let it sit for 20 minutes. Wash off with cool water and moisturise skin if desired. Do this up to two times per week.

Dark Circle Undereye Pack: Make a paste from 1 teaspoon of powder, ½ teaspoon of aloe vera gel, and 2 drops of almond oil. Apply this to the skin area below the eyes with a gentle circular massage motion, but keep a gap around the eyelid to avoid getting any in the eyes. Allow it to sit for 15 minutes and then wash off with cool water. Apply eye cream or moisturiser to keep the area hydrated and supple. Do this up to 3 times per week.

Hair & Scalp Mask: Make a paste of the Triphala powders (Harada, Baheda, Amla), along with any other desired herbal powders (such as Rosemary or Henna), and either water, or tea (steep a teabag in hot water, and use this to make the paste, caution as this may temporarily discolour lighter hair). Massage this paste into the scalp and hair, and let it sit for 1 hour before washing out.
