Origin - France

Method - Organic extraction - hexane free

Application - Middle to base note material in various Perfume compositions. 

Our specially crafted Hay Absolute, is also known as Hay Essential Oil, being an extraction of alpine sweetgrass Hierochloe alpina.

It grows wild in the mountains of France. Cut and harvested in the months of June and July. It is then naturally dried in the sun for another month. During this process, the grass becomes fragrant producing the Coumarin, which is the aromatic lactone responsible for the sweet, hay-like aroma.

An excellent addition to the blenders or perfumers tool box.
