Most people don't realise that White pepper and black pepper are actually the same fruit, that comes from a flowering vine.
The difference between them is that they are processed differently. whilst black pepper is picked when they are close to being ripe and then roasted or dried out in the sun until the hulls turn dark black. White pepper, has the hulls removed before it’s dried out.
White pepper is known for its sharp pungency and heat.
Ground white pepper is easily blended into a number of delicious meat seasonings, sauces, dressings, marinades and vinaigrettes and works well in conjunction to other herbs and spices which really bring out its unique tastes.
